It IS progress!

See, we now have a hole in the ground!

And here is the view from the garage door up the driveway to the cul-de-sac. Really. This is progress! Well, I'm excited, anyway.

Old friends at Berkshire Choral Festival

Diane with her friend Anna, together at the Berkshire (MA) Choral Festival. Anna and I were in school together for ALL TWELVE YEARS! We re-connected in 1997 when Anna told me about this singing opportunity, and we finally managed to both attend during the same week, to sing Mendelssohn's "Elijah". What an experience! Obviously, Hugh was here, too! It was another glorious time; I have now attended six times, and Hugh has attended five. Oh, my red face is the result of playing in a tennis tournament that afternoon, and getting sunburned. It was a VERY HOT afternoon, much too hot for me to be out there playing tennis. Especially since I didn't win it!
