We had to purchase a new camera. It should have arrived here last week, but it has been sitting in Front Royal for three days due to all the ice and snow we have had (right now, the snow that is on the ground is covered with about two inches of ice — kids are sliding down the ski slopes without benefit of skis, tubes, sleds, or snowboards. All they need is a good pair of pants!)
The house — We had thought they had finished painting last weekend, since it looked like everything had been painted when we visited. But we didn't realize that was just the first coat of paint, and it took them all this week to paint the second coat. NOW Roger Builder can start to put in the doors and trim. We are beginning to think May or June before we move in, which is OK. Gives Hugh more time to recover from his shoulder surgery before he has to start moving furniture.

Maddi turns Three, has two parties
Grandpa Hugh and Grandma are getting smart in their old age: They helped Maddi celebrate her birthday with a very small party at the Stuffy Bear Store, where Maddi stuffed a cat named Twinkles (who wore a ballerina dress, of course).
The next day, Maddi celebrated again, with all the kids. At this point, Grandpa Hugh and Diane were at home, enjoying a peaceful afternoon by the fireplace. Smart, huh?
